昨天下了Episode III的原声带，被震撼的不行了。

所有的曲子都充满了力量。Episode III本身就是情感上非常激烈的一集，听音乐的时候，忍不住去追忆那些情节，Anakin的堕落、背叛，绝地武士的灭亡，Obi-Wan与Anakin的决裂，皇帝的毒手……所有的情节都可以听到。

临近期末，生活很忙。作业很多，个人的事情也很多。

发觉这里有些荒芜了。太久没有blog，不是因为无事可记，恰相反，是可记的事情太多，而没有时间，于是选择什么都不记。

渐渐习惯了没有文字的生活。

假期快到了，也许那时会好些。

It’s hard not to like this movie, after seeing it in the cinema.
Like I said in the last post, I had not seen the complete original trilogy prior to this viewing. Yet the plot was familiar to me, since I had long read the novelization. And indeed, the entire new trilogy is focused on the “downfall” of Anakin, so from a plotwise point of view, there were few surprises. Everybody knows what happened. We only want to know how it happened. The gruesome details.
And details this film provides. Episode III opens up with a thrill–in the form of an epic space battle– but it’s the latter half of the film that really gains strength and momentum. The wheels of history starts turning. We see Anakin’s tragedy, how his undying love for Padme and his thirst for power turned against him and all that he loved.
And yet while we supposedly know what happened, this film still provides more than a few twists. And we are immediately emotionally attached– because of all things in this world, perhaps the most tragic is betrayal, and it is profoundly sad to see the fall of the Jedi force.
Still there is hope. Luke and Leia are born. Obi-wan and Yoda still lives. Anakin becomes Darth Vader, yet through that cold helmet somehow we feel there is still some good.

I went to UME to watch the finale of the Star Wars saga last Saturday, and the night before, I just realized that I hadn’t seen the complete original trilogy. I remember reading A.O. Scott of the New York Times saying that you will never see the original films as they are after watching Episode III, so I told myself, I gotta watch the trilogy first.
As things turned out, I only saw A New Hope before going to bed exhausted. Then after watching Episode III I immediately went to the business of watching The Empire Strikes Back, which is commonly hailed as the best of the whole Star Wars franchise. Then on Sunday I finally saw Return of the Jedi.
I cannot say I was overwhelmed. Judging by today’s standards, the special effects which must have been a marvel then looks very outdated. In comparison, certain contemporary films of the original trilogy, such as Aliens and Blade Runner, had done a much better job of being still able to look in good shape.
But this is not criticism. Star Wars tried to depict epic battles between super space ships and grand galactical wars, and the effects, though incomparable in detail to today’s mega blockbusters, still has what it takes to really entertain and thrill the audience. And it’s plain to see the great love and enthusiasm the film makers had in the production process– this trilogy runs and feels like an epic space fantasy of a ten year old. That’s meant to be a compliment.

新水木的人气越来越旺了。我得承认，看到那些熟悉的id，亲切感是无以复加的。

旧水木也还在经历痛苦的蜕变，我也依然在上。没有办法，在校内信息生活方面它有绝对的得天独厚的优势。

今天出了件奇怪的事情，习惯性的打开smth.org的域名，却没有登陆界面，而是这样一封公开信：

我是OKboy(雨舟)，域名smth.org的注册人。

我是水木清华BBS的第一代网友，我从清华大学毕业时，水木清华BBS还没有诞生。”水木清华”是清华一处景点，是我在学校时和毕业后最常去的地方。后来我离开了北京，去水木清华就少了。

当听说ace、dire、Ming、Alex等师弟师妹们建立了水木清华BBS，我立即联络他们，通过BBS好像我又回到了清华。后来，我给水木清华BBS注册了smth.org的域名，并建议dire向Cernet注册了smth.edu.cn。

smth.org不等于水木清华BBS，只是从水木清华BBS第一代站长开始就使用它。smth.org这个域名即不属于清华大学，也不属于曾经的历代站长，我注册了这个域名，它属于所有水木清华BBS的网友。

因为众所周知的原因，水木清华BBS的站长们和学校没有达成协调，我很遗憾地看到目前水木清华BBS分崩离析的现状，决定将smth.org暂时雪藏。我不打算把它商业化，如果在不久的将来重新启用smth.org，应该仍然是非商业的。

这是我第一次公开我是smth.org的注册人，原因是我不希望网友认为我对水木清华BBS有商业图谋。这次在这种情况下公开，也许还有人会这么想，OK，我这里就公开我可能的商业图谋：smth.net和smth.com也是我注册的域名，我将用于我的互联网服务和我的公司，如果你有兴趣，请关注。

其实我理解，无论是学校还是原站长站务斑竹，都是希望水木清华BBS能够很好地发展，只是考虑的因素不同。既然无法达成一致，不如暂时回避矛盾。校内的新站长站务都是我们的师弟师妹，何必如此针锋相对，不要以爱的名义互相伤害。

我希望在不久能看到各方面宽容的结果，一个大家都继续热爱的BBS。

我不知道这封信已经挂在上面几天了。51这几天疏于网络，忙于游玩，这样有趣的插曲似乎都错过了。

对于水木这整件事情，我真的已经疲惫了。我不得不承认自己的无原则性，没有能够毅然的自杀id投入新水木的怀抱。也许这整件事情对于我的伤害本来就不那么大。或者就是自己也认准了自己是无能为力的，也甘于顺从现实。无论如何，我从未做过什么。

除了逃避。我发觉如今对于bbs自己已经心灰意冷。看着别人争吵，我只是觉得无聊。

blog亦然。累了。真实的生活更美好。

I watched this film on TV last night, albeit edited for Chinese audiences (deleted nude or sexual scenes, muted bad language such as the f-word), and what was even worse Star has a kind way of cutting to commercials just when the action was getting hot.
Never mind. Arnold Schwarzenegger is in great shape, and it’s great to see Sharon Stone in a pre Basic Instinct performance. She’s definitely already getting a kick out of playing la femme fatale.
The most promising part of the film is by far its plot premise. Based on a story by Philip K. Dick (well, well, ain’t that a surprise for a sci-fi film?), one of the film’s most interesting elements is the hypothesis that memory can be implanted– you want the experience of a life-time? You don’t need to actually have done it– all you need is the memory that you did it. This brings many curious philosophical questions out– such as, what is the difference between really doing something and just the memory of doing something? To the person in question, perhaps there is no difference.
Wait a minute, somehow this all just sound too familiar. Deja vu? Yeap, we have certainly seen similiar concepts in films like “The Matrix”, and in a sense, “Total Recall” is a lot like “The Matrix”, and “The Matrix” being the later film, definitely had found a lot of inspiration for “Total Recall”. Perhaps this film deserves a lot of credit for its innovation and originality.
The special effects is well worth mentioning. It’s honestly refreshing to see some good animatronics and other “traditional” special effects methods after the prevalence of computer generated graphics in late years.
However, my biggest compliant is perhaps that the action scenes are not “intense” enough. There’s a lot of firepower, but in comparison this film really pales in the face other Arnie sci-fi films, especially “Predator”. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that I saw a strongly censored version.

最近连着看了这么几部日本武士片。
黄昏的清兵卫，因为没有下载完，所以实际只看了一半，但已经很投入了，看起来是很棒的电影。
壬生义士传则讲了我不了解但十分感兴趣的新撰组的故事。
隐剑鬼爪则集中了相当的笔墨描写了下层武士与农民阶层的跨越阶级身份的爱情。
这三部电影，所关注的都是幕末下层武士的生活。我们可以看到他们的忠义，他们的迂腐，他们顽强地与时代潮流的搏斗与抗争。在壬生义士传中，主人公是一位为了养家糊口而背叛了领主来到京都的武士，很多时候他看起来都俗不可耐，会为点滴的金钱赏赐而欣喜，似乎是一个十分世俗的为钱所用毫无原则的人–然而，一方面，他如此的贪财完全是因为他对家庭的爱与责任感，另一方面，他又是一个坚守–甚至迂腐地遵守–自己的武士精神的人，恰恰是他对于新撰组的忠诚是无人可及的。
反封建的内容也是这些电影的普遍关注点。经典的七武士中就有武士与农民的爱情–那里是以悲剧收场，而在隐剑鬼爪中，由于主角厌倦了武士的生活，放弃了阶级身份，最终爱情有了圆满的结果。
森严的等级制度是无处不在的，权力阶层中，下级武士对上级绝对服从，动辄以切腹谢罪；武士之间，则会因为职位、俸禄的高低而分出明显的贵贱；而武士与农民、商人更是绝对的两种身份–即便是最卑微的武士，在农民阶级面前也都是高人一等的（我想七武士的核心内容就是农民与武士的关系）。这些影片中的武士们，一方面对于生活的现状并不满，另一方面又由于自己武士的信条又不得不绝对地服从这种现状，这就构成了影片所展现的故事的矛盾的根源，而看起来这些武士是没有能力打破这种反动的，因为这个赢得自由的过程本身就是在颠覆他们自身的阶级基础，这是永恒的无法解决的矛盾。
影片中多处描写了武士面对时代的进步而感受到的无奈与迷茫。面对工业革命的来袭，他们有些不得不放下手中的剑而拿起枪，学会使用西洋的大炮，学习西洋的陆军训练科目。而没有放下剑的武士，则以血肉之躯去抗争坚船利炮，其结果就必然是空前的惨烈与悲壮。

昨天学校这边出了一起交通事故，有一名三字班的弟弟不幸去世。

在网上看到他的照片，看到他的同学、朋友们的文字，面对生死原来人是那么脆弱，原来生命是那样脆弱。

并不认识他，然而毕竟与他同楼了两年，不知这可否也算作缘之一种。衷心希望他在天堂，过得很幸福，也一样有那么多的朋友，也一样有那样灿烂的笑容。
