Having not seen the original, I don’t know what prompted me to watch this film.
It’s not bad as a pure action flick actually, but it certainly isn’t anything more either. Jason Statham is mildly interesting as the main lead who’s supposed to be cool.
The stunts are outrageous and whacky, and sometimes goes too far over the edge so that it could only be considered comical. Nonetheless, it does provide good entertainment that doesn’t employ the use of your brain.
And really, that’s what this film is for. When you just need some over-the-top acting and action to lighten your day, you could do worse than Transporter 2.
