The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005)
Being totally unfamiliar to the source material of this film, and being naturally unimpressed with most goofy comedies, I found this film to be boring and felt personally detached.
Maybe it’s because I didn’t pay enough attention, being so bored and uninterested at the plot that half the time I was surfing the web. But anyhow, this is not the type of film that I enjoy, and as stated above, I felt unable to appreciate it.
The film does have some parts that are mildly amusing to me, and the special effects of course can be appreciated (but don’t all space films have enjoyable sfx?). There were one or two lines that I had a near laugh on. The character I liked the most was the depressed robot. He was funny.
On the whole though, this is not a film that I’d like to spend two hours on.
5/10
